“Jesus and his disciples left Galilee and went up to the villages of Caesarea Philippi. As they were walking along, he asked them, ‘Who do people say I am?’ ”
Mark 8:27
Have you noticed the incredible diversity in the church today?
Just a glance through the religion section of your local news-paper will convince you of our differences. What a variety of services, ministry styles, and forms of discipleship!
But in the midst of all this variety, the foundation of unity remains. It has to do with how we all answer the ancient question once directed to the apostle Peter:
“Who do you say I am?”
We can differ on worship styles, administrative procedures, and evangelism methods.
But we must be clear about the person of Jesus.
He is “the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
For his response, Peter was blessed by the Lord Himself.
Do you want that blessing too?
Then consider: Who is Jesus, for you, right now?
Let God reveal the truth in faith, and know Jesus personally.
