Die Italianers maak focaccia wat ’n plat brood is. Ek gee hom meer lyf met tamatiepesto en vars tamaties.

genoeg vir 6 – 8

500 g-sakkie winkeldeeg

1 x 125 g-bakkie tamatiepesto

300 g gemengde tamaties, gehalveer

15 ml droë origanum

sout en varsgemaalde swartpeper

Verhit oond tot 200 °C. Spuit ’n groot bakplaat goed met kleefwerende kossproei. Plaas deeg op bakplaat en druk met jou hande plat tot sowat 1 cm dik. Dit hoef nie in ’n presiese vorm te wees nie. Smeer pesto oor deeg. Pak tamaties bo-op. Sprinkel origanum oor. Geur goed met sout en peper. Bak vir 12 – 15 minute of tot goudbruin en gaar. Sny in skywe en sit louwarm voor.
