Danish Meatballs In Onion Sauce

Ingredients:
Meatballs
2 Pounds Ground Beef
1 Pound Ground Pork
1 Cup Bread Crumbs
1 Cup Milk
1 Medium Egg
1 Teaspoon Salt
2 Medium Onions, finely chopped
1/2 Cup Butter
Onion Sauce
3 Cups Onions, thinly sliced
1 Cup Butter
6 Tablespoons Flour
1 Teaspoon Salt
2 1/2 Cups Beef Broth
1/2 Cup Milk
Cooking Instructions:
Soak bread crumbs in milk. Mix all remaiing meatball ingredients except butter. Form into walnut sized meatballs. Brown them well in the butter. Cover simmer 1 hour.
Sauce: Saute onions in butter until carmelized. blend in flour and salt. Slowly add milk and beef broth. Stir until it thickens somewhat. Pour over meatballs and server.
