Latvian Cranberry sauce

Ingredients:
1 package cranberries (fresh or frozen)
1-2 cps. water
1/4-1 cp. sugar
clean, empty jam or mayonaise jar with lid
2 Tbsp. corn starch
1/4-1/2 cp. cold water
Cooking Instructions:
Wash cranberries. Add some water, and boil until berries are soft. Put in blender or Cuisinart and liquefy. Put through a sieve. Add sugar to taste. Heat until boiling. Put cold water in empty jar, add cornstarch, put lid on tightly and shake well. Add to boiling cranberries and stir until thickened.
