Serves 6 | Takes 20 min

Ingredients

4 slices day-old bread

1 garlic clove, crushed

handful thyme, leaves picked

olive or avocado oil, to drizzle

45ml butter, melted

Method

Preheat oven to 200°C. Cut the bread (with or without crusts) into 1cm cubes. Toss the garlic and thyme through and pack on a baking tray. Drizzle with oil and butter. Season.

Bake for about 10-15 minutes until golden and crisp.

<Variation> Garlic Crostini: Preheat oven to 200°C. Thinly slice day-old ciabatta bread and place on a baking tray. Drizzle with oil and rub the bread with the cut side of a halved garlic clove. Bake for about 10-15 minutes until golden and crisp.
