BROWNIES IN A JAR

Makes 12
DRY JAR INGREDIENTS
1½ cups (375ml) flour, sifted
½ tsp (3ml) baking powder, sifted
½ cup (125ml) cocoa powder, sifted
1½ cups (375ml) castor sugar
2 cups (500ml) dark chocolate discs
FOR MAKING BROWNIES
200g butter, chopped
3 eggs, lightly beaten
Combine the flour and baking powder together and spoon into the jar. Top with the cocoa, followed by the sugar, followed by the choc bits and seal the jar.
Attach a Brownie recipe
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease a 3cm deep, 20cm x 30cm (base) brownie pan. Line the base and sides with baking paper.
Place the butter in a large, microwave-safe bowl. Microwave uncovered for 1-2 minutes on medium or until the butter has melted. Set aside for 15 minutes to cool.
Add the eggs to the butter, stir to combine and slowly add the jar ingredients. Mix well and spread the
mixture into the prepared pan.
Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean. Set aside to cool and cut into squares before serving.
