Fruit kebabs with ginger dipping sauce

Pick and choose your fruity favourites for a colourful combination!
Serves 6-8 | Prep 20 min | Cook 5 min
Ingredients
10-12 wooden skewers
1kg fruit variety, such as:
strawberries
apricots, halved
melons (watermelon, honeydew and spanspek), cubed
pineapple, cubed
kiwi fruit, peeled and thickly sliced
Arrange alternating fruit pieces onto the skewers. Chill skewers until ready to serve. Arrange on a platter and serve with the ginger dipping sauce.
Ginger Dipping Sauce
½ cup (125ml) sugar
150ml water
2 tsp (10ml) fresh ginger, peeled and grated
pinch of ground cinnamon
Method
Heat the sugar and water together and allow to cook for 3-4 minutes, until syrupy.
Remove from the heat and stir in the ginger and cinnamon.
