1 roll wholewheat puff pastry
1 x 10g sachet tomato paste
½ cup (125ml) cooked bacon bits
½ green pepper, deseeded and
chopped
½ cup (125ml) grated Cheddar
salt and black pepper
1 egg, beaten
Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a baking tray with baking paper.
Dust a clean surface with some flour and roll the pastry out into a large square.
Spread the tomato paste over the surface of the pastry. Add the bacon bits, green pepper, cheese and season.
Roll up the pastry into a sausage shape and then cut it into wheelsusing a sharp knife.
Place the wheels on the baking tray and flatten slightly using the palm of your hand. Brush with egg and bake for 20 minutes or until the pastry is cooked and golden.
