Apple Pie Spice Recipe

This spice blend is a perfect flavouring combination for the universally popular apple pie. Use in stewed fruit, fruit sauces and fruit pies filled with plums, pears or rhubarb as well as apples. The aroma that comes from the freshly ground spices is far superior to any powdered pre-made stuff you can buy.

Recipe for Apple Pie Spice

Ingredients

1 tablespoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon ground cloves

1 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom

Directions

Combine all of the spices in a small bow, mix well to combine. Store in an airtight container.
