Jy het nodig:

3 e ekstrasuiwer olyfolie

1 groot ui, gekap

2 knoffelhuisies, gekap

3 x 400 g blikke gekapte tamaties

¼ tot ½ t rissievlokkies

2 t balsemasyn

2 t suiker

1 groot hand vol vars basielkruidblare, afgespoel en in kleiner stukkies geskeur

sout en varsgemaalde swartpeper

gerasperde parmesaankaas, vir voorsit (opsioneel)

Só maak ’n mens:

1. Verhit die olie in ’n kastrol en braai die ui en knoffel tot sag.

2. Roer die tamaties, rissie, asyn en suiker by. Laat opkook en prut stadig vir 45 minute tot ’n uur.

3. Roer die basielkruid by en geur met sout en peper. Dié sous kan in ’n voedselverwerker verwerk word tot glad of laat dit soos dit is as jy hou van ’n sous met meer tekstuur. Sit dit voor saam met gaar pasta en lekker baie parmesaankaas.
