This dish is an awesome example of how you really can have your cake and eat it. It has fooled even the most hardcore of chocaholics, and, hands down, they just don’t believe me when I tell them the ingredients. Use raw cacao powder if you can find it – it’s available in many health food shops.
INGREDIENTS
2 very ripe avocados
1 large orange, finely zested and juiced
1 tablespoon honey
3 tablespoons high-quality cocoa or cacao powder
METHOD
Halve the avocados, discarding the stones. Scoop out the flesh with a spoon and put it in a food processor. Add the remaining ingredients and process to make a thick, rich, mousse-like dessert.
You can add extra cocoa powder or honey to make it sweeter or more chocolatey, if you like. Serve in a cocktail glass or ramekin.
GOOD FOR
Skin: Eczema
Heart & circulation: High blood pressure, High cholesterol
