White sauce

INGREDIENTS
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon flour
1 cup milk
salt and pepper, to taste
METHOD
Melt butter in a saucepan, stir in the flour, add the milk gradually, stirring all the time. Lastly add pepper and salt. Cook at least 5 minutes on low heat.
VARIATIONS
For parsley sauce, add 1 tablespoon chopped parsley.
For onion sauce, add 1 or 2 cooked chopped onions.
For cheese sauce, add 1 cup of tasty cheese.
