Steak and onion pie

FILLING
INGREDIENTS
500g blade steak
4 large potatoes
1 large onion
salt and pepper
1 cup beef stock
PASTRY
225g flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
pinch salt
85g butter
water
METHOD
To make the filling, slice potatoes and onion, and finely slice the steak. Line bottom of pie dish with sliced potatoes and cover with the steak, salt, pepper and onion. Put another layer of potatoes on top. Pour beef stock over everything. Cook for 1 hour and 15 minutes at 160°C.
To make the pastry, sift dry ingredients in a bowl. Rub in butter then add water to make stiff dough. Roll out ¼ inch thick and cover filling. Bake at 200°C for a further 20 minutes.
