Prune Cream Pudding and Prune Pudding

PRUNE CREAM PUDDING
Cook 1 pkg. (3 1/2 oz.) vanilla pudding (not instant) according to directions on the package. Remove from heat and stir in 1/2 cup of snipped uncooked DEL MONTE Prunes; cool 10 minutes. Whip 1/2 cup heavy cream; fold into the pudding. Spoon into 4 or 5 dishes. Garnish with pitted prunes
OR
Prune Pudding
•1 cupl cooked prunes, seeded and chopped
•1/2 cupful sugar
•1 cupl chopped nuts
•1/2 cup milk or prune water
•1 teaspoonful vanilla
•1 tablespoonful butter or substitute, melted
•3 crackers (rolled fine) or 1/2 cup dried bread crumbs
•1 teaspoonful baking powder
•salt
Mix all the ingredients. Pour into a buttered baking-dish. Place the baking-dish in a pan of hot water. Bake in a moderate oven for 20 minutes, or until the mixture is firm. Serve hot or cold with plain or whipped cream.
