3 eggs

1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

2 cups cornflakes

4 tablespoons butter

1/2 cup milk

1/4 teaspoon salt

6 tablespoons sugar

6 slices dense white bread

Stir in eggs, milk, nutmeg and salt together in a bowl until well blended.

Crumble cornflakes and spread on a piece of wax paper.

Dip both sides of each slice of bread into milk batter.

Press each slice of bread on both sides of cornflakes to coat bread well.

Melt 2 tablespoons butter in 12" skillet over medium heat and fry 3 slices of bread until golden.

Sprinkle 1 tablespoon sugar on top of each slice and keep warm in a 250 oven.

Continue process with remaining toast.

Serve hot with your favorite syrup.
