Melktert jaffles

Lewer 4

150 ml melk

2 eiergele

20 g koekmeel

60 g suiker

5 ml vanielje geursel

8 snye witbrood

botter, vir smeer

kaneelsuiker

1 Klits 4 eetlepels van die melk met die eiergele. Gooi die meel en suiker daarby en klits tot glad.

2 Verhit die orige melk oor lae hitte tot dit net begin kook. Roer vinnig die eiermengsel daarby en hou aan roer tot verdik. Kook saam vir 1 minuut, roer aanhoudend. Die vla kan baie maklik aanbrand. Gooi die vanielje-geursel by en roer goed saam.

3 Botter die brood en sorg dat die gebotterde snye na buite wys. Skep van die melktertpap in die middel en bedek met nog ’n sny brood. Rooster in ’n jafflepan tot bros en goudbruin. Sprinkel kaneelsuiker oor en geniet dadelik.
