Beef stew with herb dumplings

Your family and friends will love this delicious beef stew... the dumplings make it really special!
Less than 2 hours
Serves: 8
Main Ingredient: Beef and veal
3 tbsp PnP cooking oil
1 kilogram PnP stewing beef, cubed
1 medium onion, sliced
4 tomatoes, peeled and diced
2 tsp Robertsons paprika
1 tbsp Robertsons mixed herbs
750 ml water
2 tbsp Knorr brown onion soup
Dumplings
50 grams Rama magarine
1 cup pnp self-rising flour
1 tsp Robertsons mixed herbs
60 ml water
Heat the oil in a pan and fry the beef until well browned.
Add the onion and fry until soft.
Add the tomatoes, Robertsons paprika and mixed Herbs, and cook for 5 minutes.
Add the water and simmer for 60 minutes.
Dumplings
Rub the Rama margarine into the flour until it resembles bread crumbs.
Add the Robertsons mixed herbs and enough water to form a stiff dough.
Divide the dough into 8 dumplings, drop the dumplings into the stew about 30 minutes before the end of cooking time.
Mix the Knorr brown onion soup with a little water to form a smooth paste and stir into the stew.
Simmer for 5 minutes until thickened.
