Biltong and cheese pot bread.

500g Self raising flour

1 can beer

250ml finely chopped biltong

300 g grated Cheddar cheese

1 browned onion

Mix the flour and beer well. Add half of the Cheese, all the biltong and onion and mix together.

Rub butter into your flat bottom cast iron pot, don’t forget to cover the inside of the lid with butter as well.

Put your mixture in the pot, let it rest and rise.

Once it has risen about half the original size, cover with cheese.

Put your pot on the fire, cover the lid with some coals and bake for an hour.

Don’t add to much coals under the pot.

Enjoy.
