Preparation: 5 min

Cooking: 10 min

• 230 g butter, softened

• 375 ml (1½ c) light brown sugar

• 2 eggs

• 2,5 ml (½ t) vanilla essence

• 750 ml (3 c) flour

• 5 ml (1 t) bicarbonate of soda

• pinch of salt

• 200 g milk chocolate, chopped

Preheat the oven to 180 °C and grease a baking tray.

1. Cream the butter and sugar in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy. Add the eggs and vanilla essence and mix to combine.

2. Sift the flour, bicarbonate of soda and salt together and add it to the butter mixture. Mix to combine and fold in the chocolate.

3. Form small round balls, press onto the baking tray and bake for 10 minutes. Remove and place on a cooling rack.
