Healthy spiced porridge

• 250 ml (1 c) jumbo porridge oats
• pinch of cinnamon, extra for sprinkling
• 2,5 ml (½ t) nutmeg
• 1 cinnamon stick
• 1 star anise
• 2 all-spice berries
• 750 ml (3 c) milk
• 1 pear
• 1 lemon wedge
1. Place the oats, spices and milk in a saucepan over medium heat for 15 minutes or until soft, stirring constantly until creamy. Remove the cinnamon stick, star anise and all-spice berries.
2. Pour the oats into bowls, coarsely grate the pear over with a squeeze of lemon juice. Sprinkle with cinnamon and serve warm.
