Spiced beef skewers

SKEWERS
• 5 ml (1t) cumin
• 5 ml (1t) dried chilli flakes
• 2,5 ml (½ t) paprika
• 2,5 ml (½ t) salt
• 5 ml (1t) light soy sauce
• 5 ml (1t) oil
• 300 g sirloin/frying steak, sliced
NECTARINE SALAD
• 60 ml (¼ c) olive oil
• 45 ml (3 T) orange juice
• 15 ml (1 T) light soy sauce
• 130 g mixed salad leaves
• 1 fresh fennel bulb, thinly sliced
• 2 nectarines, peeled and segmented
Soak 6-8 skewers in water.
1. Skewers Combine the cumin, chilli flakes, paprika, salt, soy sauce and oil in a bowl. Add the meat and stir to coat the pieces with the mixture then thread the meat onto skewers.
2. Heat a griddle over high heat, place the skewers in the pan and cook for 2 minutes on each side. Remove from heat.
3. Nectarine salad Pour the olive oil, orange juice and soy sauce into a bowl, season and mix well. On a platter arrange mixed salad leaves, fennel, nectarines and beef skewers. Sprinkle with dessing.
