Smartie brownies

• 85 g butter
• 225 g dark chocolate
• 160 ml (⅔ c) caster sugar
• 2 eggs
• 15 ml (1 T) cocoa powder
• 45 ml (3 T) cornflour
• 125 ml (½ c) Smarties
1. Preheat the oven to 180⁰C. Line a 19 cm square pan with baking paper so the sides of the pan are lined up to the rim.
2. Melt the butter and chocolate together in a dish placed over a saucepan of water over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth.
3. Remove from the heat and stir in the caster sugar, then the eggs one at a time.
4. Sift together the cocoa powder and cornflour in a small bowl then stir into the chocolate mixture. Beat the mixture vigorously for at least one minute until nearly smooth.
5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Sprinkle Smarties over and bake for 30 minutes or until the brownies feel just set in the centre. Remove from the oven and let it cool completely before removing from the pan and slicing.
