Vanilla Butter Cake with Passion Fruit syrup.

For the cake
Ingredient
125g butter
3/4 cup castor sugar
5ml vanilla extract
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups flour
3 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup milk
Method
Preheat oven to 180deg.
Prepare a 20cm deep round tin.
Cream butter and sugar until light in colour.
Add vanilla and beat in eggs one at a time.
Add sifted baking powder and flour and milk alternately.
Mix well and bake for 40mins.
Syrup
1/2 cup sugar
60g butter
2tblsp water
1 sml tin granadilla pulp
Combine the above over medium heat stirring well for about 5 to 10 mins. Do not let it get too thick.
Use a skewer and pierce holes under the cake. Pour syrup over and allow to cool
