Ingredients
1 medium cauliflower ¾ cup all purpose flour 2 tablespoons cornflour ½ teaspoon white pepper powder or black 1-1/4 cup water salt
For sauce: 2 tablespoons,finely chopped green bell pepper 2 tablespoons ,finely chopped spring onion whites 1 small onion,finely chopped ½ teaspoon,finely chopped garlic 2-3 green chillies,finely chopped 3 tbsp tomato sauce 3 tspsoy sauce Salt Spring onion greens or 1½ tsp Finely chopped coriander leaves to garnish
Method
1.Wash and separate the cauliflower florets. 2.Heat wate in a pan and bring it to boil Add salt and turmeric powder. Add the washed cauliflower florets and par boil for 5-7 minutes. 3.Switch off the flame and let the florets sit in hot water for 15 minutes. Drain and set aside. 4.Heat oil for deep frying. In a mixing bowl,add maida,corn flour,salt and white pepper powder. Make a thick batter and add the drained cauliflower florets. Mix well such the batter coats well with the florets. 5.Deep fry the batter coated florets in hot oil until golden brown and crispy. You may do this in batches to avoid over crowding as that may result in sogginess. 6.Heat 2-3 teaspoons oil in a pan and add the crushed ginger-garlic. Saute n add the spring onions,chopped onions,green chillies and saute well for 3-5 minutes. Add the chopped capsicum and mix well. Saute in high flame for 5-7 minutes. Add tomato sauce,soy sauce,salt and mix well. Saute well for few more minutes. Add the deep fried cauliflower florets and mix well. 7.Garnish with spring onion or coriander leaves n Serve immediately.
Notes
2. If you dont have soy sauce skip soy sauce or add little vinegar. 3. Add more cornflour n less AP flour if u prefer more crisp florets.
