8 groot gewone komkommers 70 g sout 4 rooi soetrissies 4 groot uie, geskil 20 ml selderysaad 20 ml mosterdsaad 500 ml suiker 375 ml wit Safari druiweasyn

METODE: Skil die komkommers en sny dit in skywe. Plaas dit in n glasbak, strooi die sout oor en meng dit goed. Laat dit oornag in die koelkas staan. Volgende oggend: Dreineer die komkommers en kap dit grof op. Halveer en ontpit die soetrissies en kap dit saam met die uie grof op. Vermeng al die bestanddele. Verhit dit stadig tot kookpunt en roer dit aan die begin sodat die suiker kan oplos. Kook dit ongeveer 30 minute lank oor matige hitte sonder n deksel... tot dik; roer af en toe. Bottel die atjar warm en verseël dadelik. Laat staan 2 weke om ryp te raak.
