How to pack the perfect lunchbox

A well-balanced lunchbox is key in keeping your little one’s tummy full for optimum concentration in the classroom and on the sports field. We’ve mapped out how to pack a lunchbox to perfection. Follow these simple tips.
1. Fruity flare
An instant kick of energy Important fibre and vitamins Choose fruits that travel well, e.g. apples, oranges, bananas or naartjies
2. Something to sip
Keeps little ones hydrated on hot days Freeze before packing, to keep the lunchbox cold Skip sugary fruit juice and pack water flavoured with mint and lemon, or cold rooibos, sweetened with honey If you’re packing fruit juice, dilute by half with water
3. Sandwich stars
