deep dish lasagna

tastey lasagna with sweet italian sausage, parmesan cheese and mozzarella cheese. Ingredients 12 uncooked lasagna noodles/li> 1 pound sweet Italian sausage 2/3 cup chopped onions 1/2 tablespoon minced garlic 2/3 cup chopped fresh parsley, divided 3 (6 ounce) cans tomato paste 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce 2 cups water 1 1/2 teaspoons Italian seasoning 1 1/2 teaspoons dried oregano 1 1/2 teaspoons dried basil leaves 1 pound part-skim ricotta cheese 1 (10 ounce) package chopped spinach, thawed and squeeze dried 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese 3 eggs 2 teaspoons garlic salt 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese Method Step 01 start by preheating the oven to 350°F, and lightly grease a 9x13 baking dish. Step 02 in a large pot of boiled salted water, add lasagna noodles and cook untill its done, drain and set aside. Step 03 to a skillet over medium heat, add 1 pound of sweet italian sausage, break it into pieces, add 2/3 cup chopped onions, 1/2 tablespoon minced garlic, 2/3 cup chopped fresh parsley, divided, cook untill the sausage is browned and the onions are tender for about 5 minutes and then drain any excess fat. Step 04 stir in 3 (6 ounce) cans of tomato paste, and 1 (15 ounce) of tomato sauce, add 2 cup of water, season the sauce with 1 1/2 teaspoons Italian seasoning, 1 1/2 teaspoons dried oregano, and 1 1/2 teaspoons dried basil leaves. stir to combine, cover and simmer for about 5 minutes stirring occasionally. Step 05 in a bowl, add 1 pound part-skim ricotta cheese, sprinkle 1 cup of fresh chopped parsley, 1 (10 ounce) package chopped spinach, thawed and squeeze dried, 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese, 3 whole eggs, 2 teaspoons of garlic salt, and a 1/4 teaspoon of ground black pepper. you may add 1/2 cup of shredded zucchini, and an additional 1/2 cup of shredded Parmesan cheese. Step 06 spread 2 cups of the sauce into the bottom of the prepared baking dish, layer four cooked noodles, 1/2 of the cheesy filling, 1/3 of the remaining sauce, and 1 cup or more of shredded mozzarila cheese, repeat the layers using the remaining ingredients, finishing with noodles, sauce, and topped with mozzarilla cheese. Step 07 cover the dish with non-stick aliminum foil, and bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes. discard the foil and continue baking uncovered untill the cheese is bubbly and starts to evenly brown for about 10 minutes more. Step 08 remove the lasagna from the oven and remember to let it cool for at least 10 minutes before serving.
