Gebakte Varkboud

Vra jou slagter om die vel in te sny ("score") om lekker "crackling" te maak) 1 varkboud 2.0 – 2.5 kg Sout en peper na smaak Olyfolie Appelmoes vir bediening Voorverhit die oond tot 180°C. As dit nie reeds gedoen is nie, maak op 2cm afstand insnydings deur die vel en boonste laag spek met 'n skerp mes Vryf in met sout, peper en olyfolie. Plaas op oondrak in 'n oondroosterpan. Bak die boud soos volg: 30 min vir elke 500gr vleis en voeg nog 15-20 min baktyd by aan die einde van die gaarmaaktyd. Die vel behoort bros en goudbruin te wees. Plaas dik aartappelskywe in die braaipan onder die vleis, wat dan sal gaar bak in die vleissappe. Wanneer die vleis gaar is, laat staan vir 8-10 minute voor dit opgesny en bedien word. Sit voor met appelmoes, aartappelskywe, groente en sous.
