Ek koop gewoonlik die goedkoopste appels.

Was hulle af en sny hulle in die helfte.

Sit in n groot pot met koue water en laat kook vir so n uur en n half.

Moet onder geen omstandighede roer aan die appels nie.

Maak net seker dat die water die appels bedek.

Gooi deur n moeselien doek en laat staan sodat al die sap gedreineer het.

Meet hoeveel sap jy het.

Ek het gister 12 koppies sap gehad en daarby het ek 5 1/2 koppies suiker gegooi en laat dit kook net soos jy sal maak met konfyt.

Ek toets gewoonlik na n uur deur n bietjie op n piering te sit en in die yskas te sit.

As hy begin set is dit reg.

Gooi in gesteriliseerde potjies en draai styf toe.

Ek gooi net n druppel rooi kleursel by vir n mooi kleur, maar dit is jou keuse
