2 cups self-raising flour, sifted 40g butter, chopped ¾ cup milk ¹/³ cup tomato paste 100g shaved ham, chopped ¹/³ cup crushed pineapple, very well drained 1 cup grated tasty cheese 2 tbsp chopped parsley Salt and freshly ground black pepper E xtra milk, to brush
1. Heat oven to 180C fan bake. Line 2 baking trays with baking paper. Place flour and butter in a bowl. Using your fingertips, rub the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs. 2. Make a well in the centre, add the milk to the well and using a blunt knife, cut the mixture until it comes together. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured work surface and divide the dough in half. 3. Roll out each half to form a 15 x 25cm rectangle. Spread each with tomato paste. Scatter with ham, pineapple, cheese and parsley and season with salt and pepper. Roll up each rectangle from the long side to secure the filling. 4. Cut rolls into 1cm thick slices. Press slices on prepared trays. Brush tops with a little milk. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
