Dis ook lekker vir ontbyt – met of sonder die brandewyn.

4 tot 8 groot, ryp piesangs 8 tot 12 lang repe swoerdlose streepspek 200 ml brandewyn

Skil die piesangs af en draai 1 of 2 repe spek om elkeen. Sit die piesangs in ’n pan oor warm kole en braai dit aan al twee kante tot die spek net-net gaar is. Giet die brandewyn oor die piesangs, tiep die pan so effens oor die vlamme – en staan weg!

Die spek sal gaar, maar nie bros wees nie, en die piesangs heerlik sag en bruin. WegSleep sê: Wees versigtig met die brandewyn in die warm pan. Dis skouspelagtig, maar as jy te naby is, gaan jy jou snor, neushare, wimpers, wenkbroue én Elvis-kuif daarmee heen wees.
