GINGER BREAD

1/2 cup margarine 2 1/2 cups flour 2 eggs 1/2 cup sugar 2 teaspoons Royal Baking Powder 1/2 teaspoon soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 teaspoons ginger 1 teaspoon cinnamon or spice 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg or clove 1 cup syrup 1 cup boiling water
1. Cream the margarine, add sugar and mix well. 2. Add beaten eggs. 3. Sift together all dry ingredients and add to first mixture with syrup. 4. Add boiling water last. 5. Pour into well-greased, shallow baking pan and bake in moderate oven at 350 For 45 minutes
