• Our daughter and family live at a church camp where people drop off cats to fend for themselves. One granddaughter worked in the kitchen and fed any cats that came around. Calico had babies, and our daughter and granddaughter caught the eight- week-old kittens that had had no human contact. They kept the kittens in a shed—fed, watered, and loved several times a day—until they no longer hissed when people came in. They even learned how to play. Like someone taking in stray cats and loving them until they respond, God reaches out to each of us, taking time to draw us to Himself. When we become His, He feeds us with the nourishment of His Word. At frst we may grumble and com- plain about all we have left behind. Eventually, though, we see that anything we ever had was simply on loan from Heaven. An unfailing love will tame your heart.
