This dish originating in Kerala, is one of the dish served during a traditional sadhya meal
Ingredients:
1/2 cup black eyed beans or cow peas 2 cups white gourd (elavan 100 gm yellow pumpkin (optional), 5 chilies 2 cup coconut milk curry leaves oil salt to taste
Method:
1)Lightly roast the beans and soak it in water for 8 hrs. Wash & strain well.
2)In a pressure pan, add beans, both vegetables, chilies and 1/2 cup coconut milk.
3) Pressure cook up to 1 whistle.
4) After opening the lid, add salt and another 1/2 cup Coconut milk
5) Add coconut oil and curry leaves. Serve hot with steam rice.
