Kale soup

3 qt. water 1 chourico (Portuguese sausage) 4 lg. leaves of fresh kale, chopped 1/2 box dried green split peas 1 soup bone or piece of beef 1 (16 oz.) chopped cabbage 4 med. potatoes, diced
Cook soup bone or beef in water about 1/2 hour. Add peas and cook about 1 hour. Add kale and cook 1/2 hour to 45 minutes. Add cabbage and potatoes. Cook over low heat about 1 hour or until potatoes and cabbage are cooked. Add salt and pepper to taste.
