Taro pie from Hawaii

1 lb taro 6 tablespoons coconut milk 6 tablespoons Karo syrup 1 tablespoon sugar pinch salt Egg roll wrappers (longer or use larger sheets and cut to size) Oil for deep frying
Cooking Process: Bake taro at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until tender. Peel taro and cut into cubes. In pot heat coconut milk, karo syrup, sugar, salt and heat to boiling. Add taro and slowly mix until you get the perfect pie filling consistancy. Fill pastry with filling, seal edges. Heat oil and fry in small batches.
