“Don’t abandon me, for you made me.”
Psalm 138:8
• Facing a tight deadline, I rushed to our private school and began printing my manuscript. An hour later, fifty pages had been completed. I stared at the printer in disbelief. At this rate, it would be hours before my cyber-words hit paper. Abandoned to a machine’s excruciatingly slow performance! Accepting there was nothing I could do but wait for the sluggish printer to finish, I strolled through the school. I stopped at the prekindergarten classroom, and the teacher, busy with a student, asked if I would help a little boy tie his shoe. I helped that child and others and was greeted by large smiles and happy voices, everybody eager to talk. As I left the classroom, I realized I was right where I was supposed to be: left helpless by technology, hardly abandoned by the Lord. God’s plans for you are always perfect.
