FILLED HAMBURGER PATTIES 1 lb. ground beef 1 bunch green onions 2 med. white onions 1 tomato, frozen, grated 1 med. green pepper 1 egg, hard boiled
SPICES: 1/2 tbsp. roasted coconut flakes 1/2 tbsp. poppy seed 1/4 c. flour 1 tbsp. yogurt 1 tbsp. steak sauce 1 tbsp. parsley flakes 1 tsp. tomato paste 1 tsp. lemon rind 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. black pepper 1/2 tsp. red pepper 1/2 tsp. oregano 1/2 tsp. cumin seed 1/2 tsp. pomegranate seed 1/2 tsp. coriander, ground 1/2 tsp. ginger
Wash meat in hot water; drain well. Chop onions fine. Set aside one cooked egg and one white onion. Mix meat with grated tomato and other ingredients and form into 10 balls. Flatten to 4 inch patties. Put cut onions and a piece of egg on 5 patties, cover with remaining meat patties and cook in non-stick frying pan for 3 minutes each side. Drain on paper towel and serve hot with a cucumber yogurt sauce.
