“Let everyone see that you are considerate in all that you do.
Remember, the Lord is coming soon.”
Philippians 4:5
• The cell phone rang just about the time we pulled into our driveway after a busy, exhausting day. One of our church members had fallen. She was in good hands, however, and was in the emergency room at a hospital in the next town. “Should I go?” I asked my husband, Roy. “She has several people with her,” he answered. “But do whatever you feel you should do. . . .” I decided to go to the hospital. I prayed with my friend before the doctor came in to see her, and it seemed my presence had calmed her spirits. A few weeks later, she called me. “I just wanted to thank you for coming to the hospital on the day I fell,” she said. “I wasn’t nearly as afraid when I saw your face.” It made me think: Sometimes all it takes to be considerate is . . . showing up. In the midst of busyness, take time to care.
