• Lately my dreams are of my grandmothers. These dreams are so real they are like visits from those lovely old ladies. So real I can smell the dusting powder Grandma Walker always wore; so real I can sense Grandma Stokes’s sturdy arms around me and feel her fngers guiding mine in an intricate crochet pattern. I awake with joy that I have been with the women I loved most in my childhood. I awake in the sure knowledge that my grandmothers are in Heaven, waiting for me to join them. What peace of mind and heart this gives me! I feel no fear, either, that I might be joining them sooner than expected. I feel only the peace that they are waiting, just beyond my day vision. Let your mind be cradled in the peace of God.
