“For the Word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”
Hebrews 4:12
• For a moment, try to recall the myriad thoughts you’ve had in just the last ten minutes. Jot a few of those thought-themes in your journal for a moment. Do the things you think help you grow spiritually? One of the great truths of our lives is this: We can choose our attitude, each day, each moment. We can fill our minds with the pure, the lovely, the admirable, as we seek to grow in Christian character. Our lives can be filled with noble assumptions—beget by a mind-set that sees the good, that approaches each human encounter expecting the best. So, as you move into each day, realize that a quality of attitude will flow out of your life and touch others for the good—even before you utter a single word. As the seedbed of character, attitude makes all the difference.
