30 g butter 250 ml (1 c) sugar 3 eggs 60 ml (¼ c) milk 250 ml (1 c) self-raising flour 5 ml (1 t) baking powder 3 apples Sauce
10 ml (2 t) vanilla essence 250 ml evaporated milk 250 ml (1 c) sugar You may also like: Apple and rooibos cake
Preheat oven to 180 ° C.
1. Beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs and mix well. Add the milk, self-raising flour and baking powder and mix well until the batter is smooth. Remove the apples’ stalks and cores and cut into thin slices.
2. Pour the batter into a greased ovenproof pan. Spread the apple slices evenly over the dough. Put in the oven and bake for about 35 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean.
