BACON WRAPPED SHRIMP 1 lb. med. shrimp, de-veined 1 lb. bacon Toothpicks or bamboo skewers light olive oil or peanut oil

De-vein and wash shrimp. Cut bacon slices into three strips. Wrap bacon around shrimp. Stick through bacon and shrimp so that bacon will not come off. No seasoning is necessary, but the shrimp may be lightly sprinkled with garlic powder for extra flavor, if desired. Heat oil and deep fry shrimp. Cook until bacon is crisp. Remove and drain. Alternatively, the bacon wrapped shrimp may be laced onto bamboo skewers and grilled over hot coals. Spray them lightly with olive oil spray just before grilling. Keep a water bottle sprayer available to quash flare-ups.

These shrimp make a nice party appetizer or late night snack.

They may be prepared in advance.
