RABBIT POT PIE

RABBIT POT PIE STEW: 1 rabbit or may substitute lg. chicken 1 lg. chopped onion 2 stalks, diced celery 5 med. potatoes, cut up into sm. pieces (or more as desired) Salt Pepper

DOUGH MIXTURE: 2 1/2 c. flour 1/2 c. water 3/4 c. Crisco Pinch of salt

Cut up meat and cover with water. Add chopped onions and celery. Salt and pepper as desired. Cook until soft, 2 hours. Remove meat from pot. Place potatoes in boiling liquid to cook as you remove skin and bones from meat. Dice meat and return to pot when potatoes are soft. Mix dough ingredients well until slightly sticky. Roll out and cut into small pieces. Drop into boiling stew. Cook 5 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
