TEA PARTY PUNCH - 1962

Certain occasions are dearly beloved by the feminine heart. One is the afternoon tea party, gracious, friendly and relaxed.
Young ladies in their teens are adopting this traditional form of entertaining for their own "just for the girls" parties. What could be a nicer way to welcome a new girl in school or celebrate a birthday or entertain a club group?
For this new version of an old-fashioned party, the menu includes dainty finger sandwiches, cookies, a gorgeous cake swathed in coconut honey frosting, and a pretty pink tea party punch. - Wednesday, Jan. 17, 1962 - Bakersfield Californian
Ingredients
3 teabags or 1 tbs. loose tea 1 cup boiling water 1 cup cold water 2 cups chilled cranberry juice 2 cups chilled ginger ale 1 pint lemon sherbet
Preparation Instructions Add tea to boiling water in open sauce pan. Remove from heat and let stand for five minutes. Strain into 1 cup cold water. Add cranberry juice. Just before serving, add ginger ale and sherbet and beat until frothy. Makes 6 Cups Or 12 Servings Source and photo: Retro-housewife
