TRAIL MIX 1 cup shredded wheat, bite size 2 tbsp. sesame seed, whole, dried 1/2 cup cashew nuts, dry roasted, no added salt
1/2 cup dried cherries 4 oz pistachios, dry roasted 1 tbsp. butter w/salt 1 tbsp. vegetable oil, canola 1/4 tsp. garlic powder (optional) 4 tbsp. sunflower seed
Preheat oven to 375°F. On a baking sheet, melt butter and oil in oven. Mix all ingredients and spread evenly on baking sheet; place in hot preheated oven and toast for 10-15 minutes or until golden. Turn several times to coat evenly while baking.
Remove from oven and allow to cool. When cool, divide evenly into 4 snack size bags for taking along on the trail.
