“I give them eternal life, and they will never perish.
No one will snatch them away from me.”
John 10:28
• It was nearly a year before I could drive past the place on the road where my husband had died. A shiny section of metal fixed the guardrail where the accident had happened, but nothing could fix my broken heart. The thought of my husband dying alone on this road was too much! Why didn’t God protect him? Twelve years have passed, and God has brought help and healing in many ways. But that one question still plagued me: Why did God remove His protective hand? Then one morning I discovered something special while reading my Bible. God, our Father, never stops protecting His children, especially when they die. He never let my twenty- eight-year-old husband go. God held him in His protective hand and carried him to his heavenly home. Our human bodies won’t last forever, but when we trust what Jesus did for us on the cross, our souls are eternally secure. God never lets His children go.
