“If I go up to heaven, you are there.”
Psalm 139:8
• Cruising airborne at 30,000 feet fills me with awe as I peer at the miniature landscape from a celestial perspective. Up here, some clouds appear dense and billowy. Others seem transparent and streaky. Several rest high and others hover low as we fly by in whisper-quiet comfort. Then I catch a glimpse of rainbow hues chasing each set of clouds as the aircraft forges through the sky. Like clouds, difficulties may transform themselves, but they will always fade in and out of our lives. Misty haze occasionally veils our skies, but the promise of God’s love and ever-present companionship stays close by us. No matter how or where life’s challenges manifest themselves, God autographs the clouds of our lives with a rainbow of promise. God is with us in the depths—and in the highest altitudes.
