SILK FREE MICROWAVED CORN ON THE COB Fresh corn on the cob with shucks and silks Here is a great way to cook fresh corn on the cob without the hassle of picking out the silks. 1 ear=4 minutes 2 ears=8 minutes

Note: Timing depends on the wattage of your microwave and the size and age of the corn. Place raw corn, with the shucks and silk still on, into the microwave. Do not wrap it in anything. Microwave on high. Remove with oven mitt on each hand. Place corn on cutting surface and cut off the stem end at the place where the kernels begin. Then grab the end with the protruding silks and shake until the corn pops out.

You will have a perfectly cooked ear of delicious corn, silk free, waiting for some melting butter!
