“There is another law at work within me that is at war with my mind.
This law wins the fight and makes me a slave to the sin that is still within me.”
Romans 7:23
• According to a Native American legend, a grandfather was telling his grandson about his struggle with good and evil. “It’s like there are two wolves in me. One is a good wolf and the other a bad wolf. One wants to do what is right and the other what it knows is wrong.” Troubled and anxious, the little boy asks, “Which one is going to win?” Grandfather pauses to look deeply into the youngster’s eyes before replying: “The one I feed.” Like the apostle Paul, all of us have a civil war raging within us. We will supply one side or the other with what it loves to feed upon. And each day we make up our menu. Every moment we choose the special diet for our souls. Feed upon the Word of God to strengthen your will to do good.
